An « entre-sort » was a fairground attraction from the early 19th century — a closed box that people would enter and exit, discovering magical, incredible, otherworldly things inside. The installation uses the Pepper’s Ghost technique to create a superimposition of images. It represents a kind of prayer in the face of the very harsh situation faced by this Roma family from Tandărei. This is a family the artist inserted herself into, without ever really being able to leave…

Un entre-sort est une attraction foraine du début du 19e siècle. Il s’agissait d’une boîte fermée où les personnes entraient et sortaient pour y découvrir des choses magiques, incroyables, d’un autre monde. L’installation utilise la technique du Pepper’s Ghost pour créer une superposition d’images. Elle représente une sorte de prière face à la situation très dure de cette famille Rom de Tăndărei. Cette famille dans laquelle l’artiste s’est introduite, sans vraiment pouvoir en ressortir…
